News –A middle aged mother in Kakamega has taken her own life after losing a staggering sh 60,000 in a gambling game.
On Wednesday October 2, Kambiri area chief revealed that the deceased was found dead inside her Kakamega town shop.
A customer who was with the diseased during the fateful hours, narrated that the business lady was, somewhat, disturbed moments to her death.
“We moved to her shop and continued with our conversation only to later realise that she is now dead,” narrated the customer.
A second witness who very was close to her admitted that the woman was a daily gambler who could risk any amount with hopes that it could multiply in a short period.
“She used to participate in gambling using her phone only to lose Ksh60,000 but the problem is that she kept quiet about it leading to her death,” revealed another witness as quoted in a local digital outlet.
Area chief has, therefore, asked residents not to rely much on gambling and urged those who could be struggling with the sport to share their life challenges with friends and relatives so that to save more lives.
A similar situation took place in Nyamira County when a High School teacher lost a staggering amounts of money in a gambling sport.
The teacher would, days later be discovered dead in his room after he had missed classes for days.
