Expert -Having a side hustle is necessary. Side hustles can be fully or partially passive; your job is always active.
The difference between active and passive income is that active jobs need your presence to get paid; while on the other hand, passive job pays even without your physical presence. Passive income business will always bring in money even when you are a sleep. This is where many people get rich from. There is nothing as good as earning while you are a sleep or while enjoying your favorite cold ice drink in a restaurant during a sunny day.
To get the correct picture of what passive income is, think about rental houses. With rental units, you will not need to be there always to get your rents paid by your tenants. Those having houses to rent get paid while they are a sleep. Whether they go to work or they decide to spend their day in-house, they will still find their accounts filled every end months. Their job is just to walk with ATM cards.
Secondly, starting and running a blog is another sure way of earning money even when you are doing other things. A blog will bring in income through Adsense, affiliate marketing or direct advertisements. When you are attending to other things, your blog which you updated at night will be bringing in money during the day. That’s when people in offices are surfing using free internet. This means they are working for you unknowingly.
For instance, this blog was not bringing in cash during its first days online. I just launched it and continued with my day job. What I used to do is to update it occasionally at night. After six months I came back with an intention to start earning from it and I applied for Adsense and MGID monetization platforms and, luckily, both were approved. Today I earn from both programs whether when I am a sleep or doing my other jobs during the day.
I would encourage you to start a blog but first be warmed that you must be that type of a person who has learnt the art of being patient. It is not a gold mine business. When other people are earning six figure, some have failed flat; but who knows your fate?
