Jobs -Teachers employer TSC has announced its plans to hire a total of 10,000 more teachers across the country to fill the biting deficit.
The Teachers Service Commission made an advert in a local daily in which it stated that it will be absorbing 5000 teaching staff in July who will support the 100 percent transition.
Details also show that all those lucky to be employed will be on a permanent and pensionable terms.
Further, it has plans to promote 1000 more teachers in public primary school as well as recruit 1000 others to meet required numbers.
To be able to get the chance in Primary School, one has to be a Kenyan citizen, holder of P1 Certificate and registered with Teachers Service Commission TSC.
For secondary level, a teacher must be a qualified Diploma holder in education, Kenyan citizen and registered with Teachers Service Commission.
And to get a promotion from Primary to secondary school level, one must be a Kenyan citizen, a holder of a P1 Certificate, a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission, a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Education with two subjects, and must have attained a mean grade of C+ in KCSE with a grade of C+ in the two teaching subjects.
