Investment -Brian Omondi had to venture into courier service business because he believed in entrepreneurial life since his childhood.
In his sit down interview with a local news channel, Omondia who holds a Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Maseno University is a result oriented person with interest in getting things done perfectly and their conclusion.
“I have a passion for youth empowerment and thus, saw the need to venture into this industry since there are unlimited opportunities and majority of the youth who are unemployed are educated and well-skilled in various sectors,” he was quoted by the publication.
His courier business he named Boxleo Courier has been working towards creating job opportunities among young men and women who find the going tough after completing their post secondary studies.
His business which is expanding very fast targets small and medium sized enterprises and corporate entities with focus on e-commerce especially this Covid-19 pandemic period.
“We are looking to support any online seller who may not wish to incur the costs of setting up a physical shop from where they may store their items through provision of storage space, pick and pack services as well as last mile delivery to their customers,” he added.
The CEO said their service bridges the gap in logistics as clients focus on growth of their businesses making it a lot easier for a startup or an already established business to grow its profits.
The CEO divulged that Boxleo will be expanding the local market through on-boarding business which will have steady online presence; or simply eCommerce. They will be breaking into other countries across East Africa.
