Resignation –Citizen Tv’s entertainment presenter Willis Raburu has quit the station after working there for 13-years.
In his update made on Monday June 26, the entertainer bid bye to his fans as well as Citizen Tv for having been very supportive of his shows for that long.
He made the resignation announcement through a recorded video as well as social media, on Monday June 26 morning, adding that he will make public his next destination.
“To all my Fans and supporters, as I say farewell to Royal Media Services which has been my home for 13 remarkable years, I will be saying bye bye in all the shows I have been participating in during my time here this whole week! Successful People look like you!” he stated as seen by Homenews.co.ke.
In the video, Mr Raburu recounted his career life at the Royal Media-owned station since joining as an intern.
“Over the past few weeks, since June, I have had the opportunity to reflect on a lot of things concerning my life. What has become a general theme for me is gratitude. I am grateful to you who has walked with me in those 13 years. I have been in the media doing several different things. I am grateful for the opportunity to come out and do what it is I love,” he further stated.
He thanked his employer for having offered him a national platform to experiment with his talent which later sharpened him to become who he is today.
“This week, I bid farewell to Royal Media Services, my home for 13 remarkable years. Thank you for the platform to break barriers, inspire change, and connect with all of you. Onward to new adventures,” he added.
Raburu further divulged that he wrote his resignation letter in early June; what he described as not a very easy decision to come up with.
Nonetheless, he revealed that his employer received the said letter well and allowed him to transition out in weeks.
At the station, Raburu was flexible with hosting celebrities, reading news in the studios and also reporting news from the field.
He will be hosting his last show dubbed 10 over 10 on Citizen Tv on Friday, June 30, 2023.
