Marketing –Business analysts have have claimed that Trade Cabinet Secretary CS Moses Kuria was cleverly marketing China Square.
Speaking on NTV night show on Thursdays March 2, Prof Fred Ogolla noted that CS Kuria is applying a skill the Cocacola onec used to become a big brand globally.
“He has done fantastic marketing for China Square… Kuria didn’t know that China Square had become a wholesale for these other traders he was trying to defend,” he argued.
He gave an example of how Cocacola became popular around the world same to a certain energy drink in the US saying, one night, the bottles were strewn all over and when people woke up next morning they were excited and thought these could be a fantastic drink.
He, therefore, said Kuria was applying the same style to market the Chinese business; and what has worked magic for the shop owners.
The consultant claimed that the CS, of recent, made so many trips to China and there is a possibility that he is doing something the Chinese business people have discussed with him.
“With China Square, CS Kuria is promoting the business. I believe he has a direct benefit with the owners. He has made so many trips to China oflate. It’s a plan,” he added.
The NTV show hosted by Ben Kitili also saw Lawyer Noordin Khagai and analyst Didmus Mokua also differ with the government’s move to shut down the multimillion Chinese mall.
