From our background checks, Pro Gas was founded in 2017 and since then its growth has been on a steady upward trend turning it into a premier gas supplying company with distribution branches almost in every town.
The growth of the firm is attributed to the growing lack of wood as well as increased urbanization.
Pro Gas has since expanded its wings outside the country and today apart from Kenya, they are also found in Kampala Uganda, and Congo.
It is a brainchild of Mohammed Jaffer who is described as a Kenyan-born-business mogul who also owns Africa Gas and Oil AGOL that owns Proto Energy Limited under which Pro Gas transacts its business.
Jaffer was born in 1948 in Mombasa and is the chairman of MJ Group which makes Africa’s largest cargo handling service provider operating at the Mombasa Port.
According to Forbes, Mr. Mohammed Jaffer is among the richest billionaires with a long history in investment around Africa.
He once narrated how he started his business with a paltry $200 in 1970; and by 1990 he had grown by leaps and bounds to $35 million.
He is currently worth over sh 2 billion.
