Success –Mining Cabinet Secretary Hassan Ali Joho on Sunday told the vettimng panel that he is worth a whopping sh 2.36 billion.
Revealing his estimated net worth at Ksh 2.36 billion, the two term Mombasa County Governor told the Parliamentary Committee on Appointments that he had to overcome his childhood challenges that bordered on lack of a stable family to be what he is today.
“I got a D- in my secondary education. But I turned that around. Today I hold two degrees,” Mr. Joho answered Kimani Ichung’wah.
The former Mombasa Governor indicated that he had to sit down for a bridging course in 2006 making him able to join higher learning institutions.
“I did a diploma in 2007 and eventually graduated from Kampala University in 2013. Thereafter, I did another Degree in Gretsa University and then enrolled in Harvard Kennedy School of governance,” Joho told the Moses Wetangula-led panel
The politician also told the vetting panel that most of his wealth was in the form of his homes as well as investments in various top companies.
Joho noted that the wealth originated from his developed and undeveloped properties including homes in Mombasa, Vipingo, Nairobi, and Malindi.
