Management -Success comes from discipline and resilience. Billionaire industrialist Chris Kirubi advices young men who also want to be like him.
According to Kirubi, without sacrificing good things in life, it is hard for one to prosper steadily. He talked about this while trying to defend why he couldn’t settle down with any woman as his wife when every other friend of his was marrying and rushing to have children.
So firstly, Mr. Kirubi asked budding business enthusiasts to have a purpose or a vision which gives a clear direction one has to head and achieve something at the end.
Secondly, he advised young men to know that discipline should not just end at school. After school, he argued more self-discipline is even paramount. And with good planning, one will quickly measure his or her success.
Thirdly, any individual who is in business must always evaluate their achievements even if they are insignificant. Check what you have tried to achieve to have a clear picture of what you are up to.
Kirubi also advised any enthusiast to be accountable by sharing ideas, achievements, failures and progress with colleagues so as to create sound networks. Further, being surrounded by people who will keep you accountable cannot be overemphasised.
Further, without patience, no one can ever achieve anything especially when it is a new venture or an innovation. Only those who wait get the right things. It is advisable to delay self-gratification for better future results.
Other qualities Chris advised include, rewarding oneself after toiling, budgeting, integrity, valuing time and balance between work and family; this makes productivity viable.
