Fraud -Tala female manager was recently conned a whopping sh 9 million by a Ghanaian national identified as Victor Anane.
It is reported that the manager met Anane on an online dating site before the two fell in love after the latter had introduced himself as a preacher who can perform miracles that would see anyone quickly promoted at work.
He also went on to promise to turn around her professional fortunes if she became her lover. This attracted the well-schooled banker who then accepted the overture. She fell for him and started paying him some visits at his Athi River residence. At that time and blinded by love, she started transferring some millions to his account. In fact, she also reportedly took money belonging to Tala Agencies and gave the man.
However, one day while at the said preacher’s home in Athi River, she noticed strange witchcraft paraphernalia in that house. What was to be a romantic date suddenly turned ugly. All hell broke loose. She demanded to know why the man had those strange items linked to dark forces. It was at this particular point that she knew she had been conned millions.
She reported the matter to police and when the detectives raided the home of the suspect, they recovered the witchcraft paraphernalia as well as sh 76,000 in fake currency.
According to investigations, the fake preacher targets only rich ladies looking for love with a promise of making better their lives. He then confuses them with spells that allows them to surrender anything they have to him.
