Creative jobs -Legendary Nairobi singer Rosemary Wahu Kagwi and seasoned actor Churchill show host Daniel Ndambuki have been hired by government.
Furthermore, singer Esther Akoth or Akothee as well as Tik Toker Azziad Nasenya are also among the lucky list of those who will be serving in the Ministry of Sports William Ruto government.
On that list is also radio host Jimmi Gathu and Catherine Kamau aka Kate Actress who have joined the newly-constituted committee dubbed Talanta Hela Creative Technical Committee.
Their appointments were affected through an official Gazette Notice of Friday February 9 signed by Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba.
“The role of the committee will be to propose reliable systems for the seamless and accountable collection and distribution of royalties to all creatives.
“Additionally, it will propose implementation frameworks for the creatives economy plan” read the notice in part.
This notice indicated that they will be tasked with revitalising the creative industry, for three years, the creative sector which has had so many challenges in the past.
Churchill will be the committee chairperson.
