Freelance -The new sheriff in town is freelancing which everyone now wants to try because of flexibility and its potential to make huge incomes working from home.
Freelance, nowadays, is easier because of its vast opportunities; and one only needs to master one or two skills to turn him or her into a busy online guru.
Apart from working on your own, so many companies or platforms have emerged with surmounting opportunities for everyone who is willing to venture into this online trade.
Some of these jobs could range from transcription, writing both academic and web content, data entry, virtual assistant, vlogging, guest blogging etc.
That said, one would ask, what are the tools of trade in this freelancing business that has taken the internet by storm?
First tool one must acquire is a desktop, laptop and an android mobile phone. Make sure your computer machine is of good standard and can carry the workload you are doing.
To get good machines, make wide and targeted consultations with people who deal in this. A computer must always come with a good mouse and keyboard.
Freelancing also requires full time internet supply though this is not very hard to acquire nowadays through a few coins for bundles.
Remember, online business will force you to have some basic training which you can acquire from YouTube, learning websites or social groups. Most of the are free classes anyway.
Another way you could acquire an invaluable training is through hiring a friend who knows the skill and who can take you through the basics. Keep learning anything because you never know.
Additionally, make sure you know how to write and communicate in English, learn typing and some graphic designs skills – all these could be invaluable at times.
Then finally, learn how to spot and choose best assignments and tasks that can pay you every day, weekly or monthly.
Rule of thumb is, sample around ten companies/platforms and slowly start narrowing down to those you think make sense to you. I would recommend picking at most three are enough.
But it goes without saying that freelancing should not be confused with working online. Online jobs fall under freelance category but not all freelance jobs are online. Do not confuse these two.
Freelance job becomes online when it is digital.
