World billionaire Elon Musk has warned his staff against doing job at home in the name of remote work.
In a staff notice titled ‘Remote work nolonger acceptable’ dated December 9, the world richest CEO instructed all his staff to start working from their official office space with a minimum target of 40 hours per week.
Mr. Musk stated in the notice that anyone who wishes to work remotely must, atleast, spend 40 hours physically at work place, every week.
He added that should there be exceptional cases that require to work away from official office, he will have to personally approve it.
Musk added that the work station must be the main Tesla Office and not a remote branch; with the more senior ones asked to be more present.
“That’s why I lived in the Factory so much so that those on the line could see me working for a long time,” he revealed.
The world richest entrepreneur, therefore, said could he have not been present at Tesla every day for long hours, the company would have gone under.
Mr. Musk admitted that there are many companies which do not adhere to this rule and, a result, they have stagnated throughout their life and so doing things differently must be key in any enterprise that wishes to grow the market.
