Thursday, February 16, 2023 –Nairobi Lawyer Danstan Omari is now a man to watch when it comes to handling all high-profile cases in the country.
Of late, Omari has been appearing for prominent figures including the ongoing case pitting government against former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i.
Dr. Matiang’i’s home was believably raided by police officers a week ago and the lawyer who was first to arrive at the scene and address the public was Danstan Omari.
He would be seen taking central role in speaking on behalf of the former powerful State official Dr. Matiang’i.
Her went head and took the case to court where he secured for him an anticipatory bail stopping the State from attempting to invade his home again.
“The Applicant is aware that his woes got worse when he gave a speech at the home of the late Prof Magoha where he shared the lessons on public service that he had learnt from the deceased.
“His security was withdrawn the next day and the impending arrest is part of the scheme to harass and silence him forever,” read court documents.
Omari viciously defended Matiang’i and even during the second raid where the DCI sleuths forcefully broke into his Karen home, Omari remained steadfast in defending his client.
The lawyer is also representing Pokot South Member of Parliament David Pkosing over banditry claims.
