Blogs -City based business mogul Chris Kirubi has died at his home.
Family confirmed that their kin who has been battling chronic Cancer finally succumbed to the disease at their home at exactly 1 PM on Monday.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Christopher J. Kirubi who passed away today at 1 pm at his home after a long battle with cancer fought with fortitude, grace and courage. He was surrounded by his family,” his family said in a statement.
Sources have revealed to the media that the late who was now 80 years old left behind two children.
Prior to his death, the late Kirubi had tweeted a goodwill message to his fans wishing them prosperity every day.
“Top of the morning to you, my dear friend. It doesn’t have to be a tiring Monday. Instead, I bring to you good tidings of favour, success, achievements and happiness in the new week.
“Give yourself a go towards your success plan. Enjoy today and the rest of your week,” read the tweet.
The late Kirubi who has been in and out of hospital has been ill since 2017. He first talked about his condition through a video which he urged Kenyans to always be checking their health so that to arrest any ailment before getting out of hand.
Mourning the late, ODM Party leader Raila Odinga described him as an astute businessman and friend who helped improve lives of many.
“Chris Kirubi was my friend and one to many others and a mentor to even more. He was a dedicated entrepreneur and philanthropist who helped scores of Kenyans over time,” Raila condoled.
The late has been vocal in advocating for entrepreneurship among the youths in his efforts to fight joblessness in the country. Source
