Suspended – Digital taxi-hailing company, Bolt, has suspended a driver who was captured indecently exposing himself before female passengers while driving them home in Nairobi on Monday.
In a statement on Tuesday October 24, the company expressed concerns over the incident, noting that the driver will not offer any services on the platform even as investigations into the incident continue.
The affected passengers were also contacted, with Bolt seeking to inform them of the progress of the investigations and also reassure them of their safety and well-being.
“We are also actively engaging with the affected rider, and once again take this opportunity to express our sincere concern and empathy over this unfortunate incident,” Partly read the statement.
The transport company further stated that it remains committed to promptly addressing and continuously supporting their valued clients during such difficult moments.
