Stories –Central Organization of Trade Union COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has rewarded the 22-year old young boy who perfectly drew his portrait.
The outspoken trade unionist who on Sunday March 6 saw the portrait trend online promised to search for the boy so that to support his talent.
“This is fine and stunning. I would wish to meet this young patriotic Kenyan and say thank you for remembering to honour me through his art. My office will get in touch,” Atwoli said after seeing the drawing trend online.
The beneficiary, Moses Kiprop, is said to have scored a D- in his Kenya Certificate Secondary School Examinations KCSE exams but he refused to just sit down and resign to his poor academic situation.
It is now obvious that after meeting Mr. Atwoli on Monday March 7, his drawing business will take a new life through funding and support.
“Moses Kiprop is a talented young man who took his time to draw this amazing portrait. I met him today to say thank you for this wonderful work of art and promised to empower him more by supporting him to further his education. Contact him, 0742240694, to support his talent,” Atwoli wrote.
A source told media that that the artiste uses charcoal, graphite and bristle paper to create the stunning portraits that attracts clients across the country.
While revealing how he managed to come up with Atwoli’s portrait, he said he had to take 110 hours to have it done well.
