Mass Action -Workers giant umbrella has urged their members to report at work on Monday despite the demonstration.
Central Organization of Trade Union COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has asked workers across the country to report on duty on Monday March 20 instead of joining Azimio la Umoja protests
“As the umbrella body for workers, we wish to remind workers to secure their jobs by reporting to their workstations,
“We urge workers to refrain from participating in any activities that may jeopardize their employment status,” noted deputy Sec Gen Benson Okwaro.
The union also advised Raila and President Ruto to consider sealing a a truce this soon so that the country can calm down for economy to thrive.
“We appeal to both parties to engage in active dialogue and find a long-lasting solution that will promote economic development in the country,” Mr. Okwaro stated.
Both COTU boss, Francis Atwoli and his deputy switched camps to the government side the day Azimio’s leader Raila Odinga lost the election to William Ruto.
