On Duty –President William Ruto and Central Organization of Trade Union COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli are in Switzerland for World Summit to take place from today Thursday June 15.
Dr. Ruto, on landing, was received by Central Organization of Trade Union COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli.
The COTU boss made this update on his socials detailing the itinerary of the head of State including addressing the role of social dialogue and justice in changing the world and places of work.
“Pleased to have welcome His Excellency President William Ruto at the ILO, in Geneva, to address the World of Work Summit that is focused on the role of Social dialogue and Social Justice in the changing world of work.
“I thank William Ruto for having honored our invitation to attend and address tripartite delegates, from all over the world, on the issues affecting workers at a global scale,” he added.
Ruto jetted abroad shortly after presiding over a high-profile meeting dubbed Engineering Partnerships Convention 2023, held in Naivasha, Nakuru County.
On his behalf, Atwoli is in Geneva where he also has a labor movement office.
On December 1 2022 Atwoli made his maiden visit to the Statehouse in what he termed as a courtesy call to H.E President William Ruto following his August 9 win.
The two held discussions on Kenya’s ratification of ILO C190 and outsourcing of labour where the Sec Gen also sought an appointment with the Head of State to meet and share with all local labour officials.
