Suspended –Communication Authority of Kenya CAK Director General Ezra Chiloba has been suspended in a new notice from the board.
The development has been confirmed by an internal memo from board chair Mary Mungai communicating the suspension on Monday September 18 following a meeting held and which reached to the conclusion.
In his place, Christopher Wambua has been appointed as the Acting Director General.
“Following a meeting of the Authority’s Board held on 18th September 2023, resulting in the suspension of the Director General, I am pleased to inform all staff of the appointment of Mr Christopher Wambua as a Director General in Acting Capacity effective today until further notice. I trust that you will accord him the necessary support,” partly said Mungai.
Chiloba has been at the helm of CA now two years after his appointment to the docket. He took over from Francis Wangusi following his retirement in 2021.
Before joining CAK, he was the Chief Executive Officer CEO Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC who worked under Chairman Wafula Chebukati.
