Warning –President William Ruto has sustained onslaught on sugar businessman Jaswant Singh Rai.
Addressing Western Kenya residents, yesterday Monday August 28, Ruto warned Rai and accomplices to drop any case they have with Mumias Sugar Company and disconnect themselves from Mumias Sugar factory activities.
He said, for them to be safe, they must leave the factory and focus their energies elsewhere as soon as they could of face dire consequences.
“I told them to leave that company. Its people’s company and we won’t entertain cases anymore. These people must leave.
“If they want to insist remaining here and to bring me issues, they could face three consequences – they will be forced out of the country, jailed, or travel to the Heavens,” Ruto threatened.
Ruto was speaking this just a day after openly warning Rai family that, this time around, his money and influence won’t help.
“Don’t worry, leave that man to me. There is no problem, that is easy work. No one will come to me with a lot of English,” he assured residents on Bungoma. I refuse,” he said in Bungoma.
Sources now claim that there is so much that ordinary Kenyan don’t know about the story between Jaswant Rai, his brother Sarbjit Singh Rai, and Mumias Sugar.
There could be a reason why President William Ruto is directly involved in it with a promise to crush down anyone standing in between its revival efforts.
In campaigns, Mumias Sugar is always made a campaign tool with every politician using it to gain support from unsuspecting locals.
Mumias Sugar factory is located in Mumias East Constituency, Kakamega County.
