Career –Embattled ex-news anchor Jackie Maribe has denied claims that she had been hired to work in the Deputy President’s office.
Speaking just hours after rumour of her appointment went viral on social media, Ms Maribe disclosed that it was not true and that no one from the deputy president’s office had reached to her over the matter.
Maribe took to her Instagram stories to clarify that she was yet to know about becoming the official communication director for the new DP Rigathi Gachagua.
“I am not the Director of Communications at the Deputy President’s Office. Thank you all for the well wishes, calls, and text messages. Mambo ya God,” Maribe wrote.
Amid the statement, Ms Maribe was trending top on Twitter and Facebook over what many said was her big come back in the media and communication industry while others loathed her for playing down the news to evade backlash.
