Story -Tycoon Manu Chandaria has told media that he nolonger knows what happens in his businesses because he retired long time ago.
Now at 93 Chandaria prety sits at home and only shows up in philanthropic works around the country and it is his choice to not check on what happens in his companies because those nwo turning the wheel are well experienced.
“Businesswise, I have retired from everything. If someone asks me what is happening in Comcraft Group, Kaluworks or Mabati, I would not answer,” he tells Financial Standard.
“Unless you detach completely – even from that which you have been running for these many years – you will always be thinking about it and will not be in retirement,” the mogul disclosed.
Before quitting, he was actively involved in day to day running of Comcraft Group founded in 1915 which he propelled to a multinational manufacturer of steel and aluminium. He also founded Kalu Works Company based in Industrial area Nairobi.
