Money–Nairobi based businessman and also Safina Party presidential aspirant Jimi Wanjigi has sparked divided reactions on media after claiming that he doesn’t know how much is on his account.
While reacting to a question from a journalist at NTV who had sought to know if he was willing to make public his wealth, the city billionaire simply responded saying he can’t tell how much he is worth because he doesn’t know what is in the bank.
He added that what he can attest to is the fact that he is among the few Kenyans who can afford almost anything on earth and feed their families every day.
The tycoon noted that, just like the African culture dictates, he cannot start talking about how much he has managed to make since childhood.
“You’re aware that I’m an African. Exactly like our forefathers, despite the fact that they had a lot of cows back then, they never disclosed their actual figures. I have a well-cared-for family, and I’m thankful that they have a room on top of them every day,” Mr. Wanjigi responded.
The ex-ODM Party live member is currently vying for the Presidency in the country. He is also gravitating towards Deputy President William Ruto with word having it that he could end up endorsing his presidency following his bitter fallout with Raila Odinga.
