Debt -There was drama at Tuskys Supermarket on Saturday after one employee went berserk, took a knife and robbed a cashier sh 320,000.
Though it is no yet clear why the employee decided to rob the cash, some sources link in to unpaid salary dues of many months.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that he brandished the knife to the victim in an incident that took place at Karasha branch along Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi.
Sources further reported that the suspect targeted the victim just towards the close of the day knowing very well the cash was enough for him.
The 7PM incident, according to the police, was not captured on any of mounted CCTV servers because they were faulty.
This is not the first time the retailer is facing such hostility from its workers. Many times the shop has had to contend with rogue staffers demanding their overdue salaries.
For instance, Last November, many employees decided to pay themselves their outstanding dues from the supermarket cash till after they had gone for long without pay.
So far many branches of the troubled retail shop across the country have since shut down.
