Jobs -A total of 122 campus students have landed plum job deals in France as part of the increasing working relationship between Kenya and the European nation.
According to Homenews.co.ke, the one year deal is part of an exchange program between Kenya and France and once they land there they will be posted to Guyana, Martinique and Guadalupe Regions.
Confirming this news, Julie Briand from France Embassy revealed that in total they were 150 students before they were chopped down to 122.
“We selected them based on their motivation and will to share their culture with others. The purpose of the programme is to develop the mobility of young people and create bridges between French and Kenyan cultures,” she told journalists.
She added that each will be taking home a whopping 800 Euros an equivalent of sh 103,970 every month on 12-hour working schedule per day.
Ninety two will teach English in Secondary schools while 30 will be deployed to elementary classes. They will also enjoy free medical cover during their stay there.
“It’s a nice feeling since this will be my first time to travel outside the country. I’ve studied the French language from secondary school at Alliance Française and now I’m at C1 (superior) proficiency level,” students, Hawo Hassan stated.
French Embassy led by Aline Kuster lauded the professional relationship between the two countries saying it will be the best opportunity for Kenyan students to explore career-wise.
