ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has met with tech investors and founders in the ongoing Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris.
Making the conformation through his official pages, CS Kabogo noted that he had an inspiring conversation with Mr. Mactar Seck, Head of Innovation & Technology at UNECA, about how they can supercharge Africa’s digital transformation.
He also met with Open AI founder, Sam Altman, with who they shared a lot on innovation and technology improvement around Kenya.
In his meeting with Singapore’s Hon. Minister Josephine Teo, Mr. Kabogo reaffirmed their partnership as leading tech nations and their shared ambitions to connect Africa and Southeast Asia’s digital economies.
“I also reiterated our commitment to the ITU and our active role in initiatives like the IGF, AI for Good Summit, and WSIS20,” he added.
At the AI Action Summit in Paris, the CS ICT, further, had the privilege of engaging with some of the brightest minds in the digital sector where he met Antoine Petit, Chairman and CEO of CNRS, to discuss plans for a CNRS office in Nairobi in collaboration with the University of Nairobi.
