Internet -Safaricom Company has announced increased internet speeds for both home and business customers to address the rising demand for faster connectivity.
In their new plan, the Telco introduced a new platinum package that offers speeds of up to 1000 Mbps for KSh 20,000.
Making this confirmation on Tuesday, Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa emphasised that the new speeds will support demanding online tasks such as 4K/8K streaming, gaming, large file transfers, cloud computing, and virtual reality.
The changes coming at the time Elon Musk’s, Starlink internet have become a hot cake in the Kenyan market due to its cost and efficency.
