We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to join our team and drive our sales operations to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and expand the market share in the PVC and HDPE pipes industry.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aimed at driving growth in the plumbing, water, building/construction, hardware sectors, traders, projects, and end users.
- Design and execute a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures a strong market presence.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts, keeping abreast of new products and competition status.
- Develop export markets and explore opportunities in nearby countries.
- Review and approve sales reports, manage budgets, and prepare presentations for the management team.
- Conduct regular meetings with the sales team to discuss performance, review sales data, and provide guidance or feedback.
- Collaborate with Sales Executives in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
- Communicate with key accounts to ensure satisfaction with the company’s products and services.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery, product quality, and effective after-sales support.
- Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to ensure sales efforts align with the overall goals of the organization.
- Enhance brand awareness in targeted markets.
- Ensure timely collections and work towards minimizing bad debts.
- Travel extensively across Kenya and nearby countries to meet clients, explore new markets, and oversee sales operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in sales, specifically in the PVC and HDPE pipes industry or related industry
- Preferred candidate from the Asian Community
- Proven track record in project sales within the plumbing and water sectors, as well as experience in building/construction and hardware sales is an added advantage
- In-depth knowledge of the Kenyan market, including customer preferences and regional dynamics.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel countrywide as required.
