Jailed –Former presidential candidate Mohamed Abduba Dida is currently serving a seven year sentence in the United States of America U.S.A.
Mr. Dida, who ran twice for the presidency and beat established names in the political arena, is now serving his seven years after being found guilty by an Illinois Court in the U.S.A.
In an investigative story carried out by the Nation issue of September 10, Dida is detained at the Big Muddy Correctional Center in Illinois where he has been held since September 18 2022.
The reporter established that the former politician was found guilty of stalking and intimidating an unidentified person in the Midwestern US State.
The publication established that the Kenyan politician is serving the severe sentence after being declared guilty on two separate charges.
These offences were perpoetarted in Mclean County Illinois.
Mohammed Abduba Dida (born 1974) is a Kenyan teacher who vied for the country’s presidency in the 2013 General Election on an Alliance of Real Change Party ticket. Dida ran again in the 2017 General Election, conceding hours before the election was called in favour of the incumbent; President Uhuru Kenyatta, but at the same time calling into question the integrity of the election and the conduct of the two main political parties; Jubilee and Nasa.
