Savings –Former Statehouse Spokeswoman Kanze Dena, now Spokesperson – Office of the 4th President, has advised Kenyans to save for a rainy day.
Speaking on Citzien Tv with Olive Burrows on Monday June 10 night during news time, Ms Dena disclosed that, after her boss retired home last year, she stopped earning anything as the current regime slammed breaks on her allowances same to fellow staff members working with Uhuru Kenyatta.
Due to this, life has never been easy but because she had learnt the art of saving when she was still on a pay roll, this has kept her moving.
“For two years now, I have not been remunerated. When I was asked to come and join the team, I joined the team. Somewhere along the way things were not working out so what is the best choice to do in terms of character? I chose to sail through the storms,” said Dena.
Asked how she keeps moving with life despite the economic hiccups, Dena explained that savings have come in handy.
“I would like to urge Kenyans please save for a rainy day. That is when I understood the meaning of savings. I thank God for saccos and for all the opportunities to save. Please save, days like these do come,” added Dena
Before joining Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee government, as a Statehouse spokeswoman, Dena was a Swahili news anchor at Citizen Tv owned by the Royal Media Services RMS along Dennis Prott Road, Kilimani.
