Job –President William Ruto has nominated Mrs Mary Wanyonyi Chebukati as the Chairperson of the Commission on Revenue Allocation CRA.
Ruto noted that Wanyonyi’s academic and professional qualifications allowed her to take over the CRA office.
Chebukati’s wife was nominated from a pool of three names that included Thomas Ludindi Mwadeghu and Felicity Nkirote Biriri.
“The Head of State has pursuant to Article 215 (2)(a) of the Constitution nominated CPA Mary A.C. Wanyonyi for appointment as the Chairperson of the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA),” the statemen read partly.
Mrs Wanyonyi is a Certified Accountant and a Certified Mediator who also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting).
Ruto’s appointment statement indicated that the nominee has had a stellar career in accounting spanning over three decades.
At the same time, the Head of State nominated Dr Phyllis Wambui Wagacha as a member of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) to represent the Public Service Commission.
This nomination came as a result of a resignation by Dalmas Otieno to vie in the August 2022 elections.
